This is a heads up. I am really irritated, About a month ago a gal joined us here at PH. She claimed to be a producer from ABC. She said she was from wife swap. She found a glitch in the system and spammed about 25 PM boxes before we caught her. We fixed the glitch that day as well.
So here is the kicker. It seems that she is now sending emails to folks, wanting “Prairiehomemakers” whose home values are “Faith, Family and Frugality”. (Please note, I used the one word approach to name the site because I HAD to, my preferred way to address us is Prairie Homemakers. So this is a direct copy of our name!)
Ladies, she is stealing our identity to round up naïve women willing to sell their families for a week or 2 for $20,000.
She is even representing herself as connected to this site! I know this because our darling Miss Maggie emailed back and forth with her and even called her! Miss Maggie says she represented herself as if she was somehow connected to the site. She asked Miss Maggie if she was the Prairie Homemaker, and Miss Maggie said no, I am the Hillbilly Housewife. The gal was kind of confused at that it seems but went on wanting to know how long she had been with the PH site (even calling it PH).
I am beyond livid. This woman is tying our site name and logo to that show, on a network I would not watch if I had cable.
I have contacted our attorney who is drafting paper work to put a stop to it. I am told we hold the rights to this info, and what they are doing is call theft of intellectual property.
I know a lot of folks see nothing wrong with it, and some even see it as a way to get the Christian message out on main stream media. I obviously disagree. There is not enough money in the world to get me to share a home with another man if my Beloved is not there too. I do not care if they have 1 or 30 kids living there at the time.
My name is Mel, and I am the Prairie Homemaker, and Molly, don’t bother contacting me, I won’t return your emails. Just leave my site out of it, or my attorney will contact your bosses.
