My first blog entry for the new board!
I was chatting with a friend tonight. She pointed me to a site where some stuff was said about PH. I got to thinking on it.
What is PH?
PH is a place where women of Faith gather to discuss their Faith, religions, frugality, family and many other things.
It has been noted at various places online that there is gossip, backbiting and some rudeness.
Yes there was. Some folks gossip in innocence, not realizing what they are doing. Once it is pointed out to them they correct what they post and remove the gossipy details.
Some folks do not think they are gossiping, just “sharing news”, such as celebrity items.
Some folks gossip as a means to lift themselves up. These are usually the ones who deny it and accuse anyone of telling them otherwise of being legalistic or mean.
We had one mod that stood up to this and forced the issue. Folks called her mean, nasty and rude.
However, she was right. It is all well and good to claim to be a Christian, Bible based board, but it is totally different to claim it, than it is to BE IT.
I choose for PH to actually BE IT. So yes our rules are strong, we state them often and we will if needed invite folks to leave if they can not or will not abide by them.
I do not intend to change this.
PH is a forum of women teaching women. We will not always be perfect, but we will always strive to learn and become more of what God wants, and less of what the world wants.
This is going to earn us names around the web. Legalistic, prudes, mean and others.
We will stand by our rules.
We will NOT support ministries that twist God’s word and teach falsely.
These include but are not limited to, the word of faith ministries, people like Joyce Meyer, and it also includes the ministry of No Greater Joy, Michael and Debi Pearl.
We have running Bible based studies in two of our rooms; we do not need to uses false teachers to learn how to be God’s women, because HE tells us Himself.
I recommend books by
