Today we will be guests.
I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
We are changing up our traditions this year. Normally “black” Friday is when we do our in home feast, the works! Turkey, ham, sweet spuds, cranberries, green beans, pies, cookies, cakes and so forth. Since now I work retail I will be working tomorrow. So we will do our thing on Saturday. Our feast involves decorating the house, putting up the tree, and playing games and having fun together.
This year we are only 3, but the love is still here, as will be friends who choose to visit with us!
Yes cooking with no real stove is a challenge, but I am up for it! I have 2 large crock pots, a toaster oven and a large electric skillet. A gift my beloved gave me last week!
There are many things I am thankful for. I am thankful for them everyday.
My health, which was nearly lost to me this time last year.
My Beloved who stands with me, even when I am a foolish woman.
My 2 sons who have grown and become solid young men. Honest, strong and hard working.
My home, that I am blessed to share with my beloved and my oldest son.
Both my husband and I have solid jobs that we love.
That I live in a country where I am free to be who I am and am not sanctioned or tormented for my Faith.
For my Faith, that allows me to share God’s blessings with others.
For the Lord who loved me enough to die so I could live.
For the love of reading my mother bestowed on me.
Through reading I have met many friends, both real and imagined!
For PH and her members, who care for one another, even when we disagree.
May you all be as blessed as I have been this year and in those to come!
